I managed to get hold of the Full Installation of REX Essential through some contacts I got over the Internet. This is the Full REX Essential Installation, meaning you don't have to have any previous version of REX installed on your computer prior to REX Essential. the Version is REX "3.0.2012.0522" I haven't tried REX myself as I am an AS2012 personally, but I heard it's a good improvement over the older REX 2 version. once you tried it out; If you Like it, then Buy it. I always buy my FSX addons stuff I use, surprisingly even though I distribute here many stuff, I buy all my stuff and I encourage to do the same.. I distribute the stuff for you to try before buying... Let us Know how this Addon is....

TO INSTALL TEXTURES: After you have installed REX, you will open the program from your start menu or desktop icon. In the REX program you will have to do a couple of things first. In the configuration you will point to your FSX directory and do an initial backup, and various self explanatory things. Go to options and set your preferences as far as resolution of clouds and what textures you want REX to change, etc. If you are a Prepar3D (P3D) user, you can do like I did and first create bogus FSX entries before messing with REX. Select all of your files and folders in the P3D directory and create shortcuts in C:...program files(x86)...Microsoft Games....Flight Simulator X.
also create fake entries in C:..Users...%user%..AppData..Roaming..Microsoft..FSX using shortcuts from appdata ..lockheed martin..Prepar3D. then use "advanced renamer" to remove the "-shortcut" from all of your fake folders..it must look exactly like the real thing or else it wont work. this is how I did it..you may have a better way. In REX you click textures and start changing each category until you come to the end, you'll click save to save your "scheme" and then click INSTALL. It should take quite a few minutes and then tell you it's done. From there shut off REX (Or not) and fire up FSX/P3D as there is nothing else to do. You'll see the new textures. Check clouds and other stuff you know you changed...choose a funky dusk set from REX and fly at dusk to check if you're not sure.
Somehow it's not loading my textures into my P3D 3.1 install. I have the used "fake" FSX version method but it's not changing anything. What am i doing wrong?
